Russian retailers seek Ningbo opportunities

A delegation of leading Russian retail companies visited Ningbo, East China's Zhejiang province, on March 24 and 25 to seek new partnerships and products under the "Made in Ningbo" label.

Representatives from more than a dozen major online and offline retailers arrived in Cixi, a county-level city of Ningbo, with procurement lists, aiming to source high-quality goods for the Russian market.

"On our first factory visit, we already found ideal products. Ningbo is truly a treasure city," said a representative of a major Russian wholesale retailer during a visit to Goneo Group. The delegation's demands span a wide range of categories, reflecting strong consumer demand in Russia for cost-effective, reliable products.

Amid evolving global economic dynamics, China-Russia economic ties remain robust. Ningbo's well-developed manufacturing base and efficient supply chains align closely with Russia's growing demand for affordable, high-quality consumer goods.

During the visit, buyers toured companies including Goneo Group, Zhejiang Sharbo Electric Appliance, and Yueda Electronic Technology, expressing strong interest in home appliances, personal care products, auto parts, and household items. Many praised Cixi manufacturers for their innovative designs, dependable quality, and competitive pricing — key factors for Russia's consumption upgrade.

Over 150 Ningbo manufacturers showcased their flagship products at a business matchmaking event, resulting in multiple preliminary agreements and intended orders, as well as the signing of several cooperation deals with local trade platforms.
