Ningbo strengthens global brand presence
According to the 2025 Zhejiang Export Brand list (including cross-border e-commerce) released by the Department of Commerce of Zhejiang Province, Ningbo now has 274 Zhejiang export brands that remain valid. The number of the city's cross-border e-commerce export brands has also increased by seven to a total of 68.
The Zhejiang export brand program is designed to promote high-quality foreign trade development and strengthen brand cultivation. Its evaluation system covers technological innovation, international standardization, market performance, and global operations. Each certification is valid for three years.
Ningbo currently ranks first in Zhejiang in terms of number of export brands and second in number of cross-border e-commerce brands, both accounting for around one-fifth of the provincial total.
The newly listed brands are mainly concentrated in machinery and electronics, light industry, textiles and apparel, and agricultural products. Many Ningbo companies are actively expanding their global footprint through both digital platforms and offline retail channels.
Several firms have successfully moved from online brand building to entering major overseas retail chains, while others have achieved leading positions in niche categories on global e-commerce platforms.
Looking ahead, Ningbo will continue to strengthen the cultivation of export brands, support cross-border e-commerce enterprises in developing proprietary products and channels, and foster more internationally competitive brands with strong innovation, high quality, and distinct local characteristics.
