Students and educators from Ningbo Foreign Affairs School strengthened cultural and educational ties with Montenegro on June 12 by signing a partnership agreement, donating teaching equipment, and participating in a joint public performance in the historic coastal city of Kotor.
The delegation continued its educational and cultural exchange program in Kotor, where Ningbo Foreign Affairs School signed a cooperation agreement with Vida Matjan Music School during a ceremony at City Hall.
The agreement establishes a foundation for future collaboration in music education, including student and teacher exchanges, joint performances, and academic cooperation. During the ceremony, the Chinese Embassy in Montenegro donated teaching equipment to Vida Matjan Music School in support of its educational programs.
Later that day, students from both schools took their collaboration beyond the classroom with a cultural flash mob performance in Kotor's historic old town. Young musicians from China and Montenegro performed together, blending Chinese and Western musical traditions in front of residents and visitors.
Among the highlights was a performance of the Chinese classic Jasmine Flower, featuring traditional Chinese instruments such as the erhu and pipa alongside Western strings. Students from both countries also joined in performances that encouraged audience participation, drawing crowds into the medieval streets and squares.
Through music, shared performances, and direct interaction, students from the two countries built new friendships while demonstrating how cultural dialogue can connect people across borders.
