A small Ningbo cultural hub was unveiled at the Xidian International Stock Exchange in Malawi, blending culture with finance at one of the country's most important economic landmarks.

Located next to the trading hall, the cultural hub introduces visitors to Ningbo through a collection of interactive and cultural displays. Six specially designed stamps, inspired by the stock exchange's architectural dome and Ningbo's renowned Tianyige Library, symbolize the connection between China and Malawi. Folding fans featuring the scenery of Ningbo and Lake Malawi, along with postcards, book lamps and themed souvenirs, offer visitors a glimpse into the Chinese port city's rich history and cultural heritage.

Founded in 2023, the Xidian International Stock Exchange is Malawi's first international securities platform. It focuses on sectors including agriculture, mining and infrastructure.

Liao Junhua, chairman of the Xidian International Stock Exchange, said the cultural hub helps strengthen mutual understanding by allowing investors and local employees to learn more about Ningbo beyond business, fostering trust and supporting long-term international cooperation.

Among its regular visitors is Praise, an employee at the stock exchange, who has become captivated by the exhibits. She said she now hopes to visit Ningbo in person.
