Ningbo's intangible cultural heritage products attracted much attention recently at the Chinese Traditional Culture Festival in Vancouver, Canada, showcasing the city's traditional craftsmanship and Jiangnan charm to an international audience.

Mike Hurley, the mayor of Burnaby, and several city councilors visited the Ningbo exhibition area during the event, where they experienced traditional handicrafts and praised the creativity and cultural value behind the works.

Hurley said he was deeply impressed by the Ningbo crafts, describing them as vivid examples of cultural heritage, and expressed hope that more cultural products from Ningbo could be displayed in Canada in the future.

Organized by the Ningbo Chamber of Commerce of Canada Society, the exhibition featured handcrafted fans, city-themed puzzles, mother-of-pearl inlay artworks, and other cultural products. Interactive activities, including traditional pattern printing on commemorative scrolls, also attracted many visitors.

Laura Morgan, a board member of the Burnaby Hospital Foundation, showed particular interest in a city badge featuring Tianyi Pavilion, the renowned ancient library in Ningbo. She said she was pleasantly surprised by what she learned about the city behind the landmark.

The Chinese Traditional Culture Festival has become one of North America's influential Chinese cultural events, featuring performances, food markets, and cultural experiences.

This year's festival attracted about 5,000 local residents, providing a platform for cultural exchange and allowing audiences to experience the diversity of Chinese traditions.
