Ningbo Lishe International Airport welcomed nearly 75,000 inbound and outbound passenger trips on 667 flights in July.

Travel to and from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan remained the biggest driver of passenger traffic, accounting for more than 45,000 trips, or about 60 percent of the monthly total. The Ningbo-Hong Kong route was the busiest, serving over 28,000 passengers and making up roughly 40 percent of all cross-border travelers.

Popular short-haul destinations also included Bangkok in Thailand and Jeju Island in South Korea, each attracting more than 9,300 two-way passengers. Despite a relatively limited flight schedule, the Ningbo-Nha Trang route in Vietnam operated at near-full capacity throughout the month, emerging as one of the city's fastest-growing summer travel destinations. Meanwhile, the direct route to Budapest, Hungary, continued to provide a convenient gateway between Ningbo and Europe, carrying more than 2,300 passengers.

Since China's revised departure tax refund policy took effect on July 1, overseas visitors have enjoyed more convenient shopping and tax refund services. In July, Ningbo Airport Customs verified 82 departure tax refund applications totaling more than 3.24 million yuan ($479,855), a year-on-year increase of 78.2 percent.
