Global Ningbo business leaders gather for homecoming event

More than 600 representatives from Ningbo's global business community gathered in Ningbo on Oct 13 for the 2026 Ningbo Entrepreneurs Homecoming, connecting entrepreneurs worldwide with new opportunities in innovation, investment, and industrial cooperation.

Participants from 22 countries and regions, including established and younger-generation Ningbo entrepreneurs, business leaders, investors, researchers, and experts, joined the event.

A highlight of the event was the signing of 20 major projects with a combined investment of 37.79 billion yuan ($5.64 billion). Covering sectors such as integrated circuits, commercial aerospace, new energy vehicles, life sciences, and advanced manufacturing, the projects reflect Ningbo's efforts to attract new investment and accelerate industrial upgrading.

The event also highlighted the importance of passing entrepreneurial experience to the next generation. Eight veteran entrepreneurs shared their insights with younger business leaders, encouraging them to carry on the spirit of innovation, openness, and global engagement that has shaped Ningbo's business community.

A series of supporting activities focused on emerging fields, including industrial design, humanoid robotics, and technology-driven innovation, brought together entrepreneurs, companies, research institutions, and investors to explore new paths for collaboration.

Through the event and related programs, Ningbo aims to strengthen ties with entrepreneurs worldwide, attract more resources and talent, and create new opportunities for global cooperation.
