Ningbo's traditional crafts and culinary heritage are gaining international attention.
The 2025 Super Terminal Expo (STE) concluded in Hong Kong on Nov 6, with Ningbo brand Yong's Gourmet showcasing Chinese intangible cultural heritage to a global audience for the first time.
The exhibit featured highlights such as intricately embroidered tiger-head shoes and handcrafted metal-thread pouches. The shoes, traditionally worn by children, symbolize good fortune and protection, while each pouch reflects the meticulous artistry of Ningbo's master artisans. Alongside Yong's Gourmet, several long-established local brands presented traditional foods, giving international attendees an authentic taste of Chinese culinary heritage.
Among the visitors were global airline executives as well as officials from Singapore Changi Airport and the Hong Kong Airport Authority, who praised the exhibits and extended invitations for future collaboration.
The company's Brand Director, Zhang Shaohua, noted that for Ningbo enterprises expanding overseas, cultural elements are central to product design and international partnerships. He added that the successful showcase at STE marks a key step in promoting Chinese intangible cultural heritage internationally and emphasized the company's commitment to spreading Chinese culture through traditional crafts and culinary products.
