The Zhejiang Humanoid Robot Innovation Center in Ningbo on Nov 12 introduced its latest product — the NAVIAI‑I3, a humanoid robot designed for security tasks.
Standing 1.8 meters tall and weighing 80 kilograms, the NAVIAI‑I3 is built with powerful lower‑limb mechanics. Its enhanced torque allows longer strides, greater stability, and stronger load‑bearing capacity.
Unlike many bipedal robots, it can walk briskly and run at speeds of up to 9 km per hour, maintaining its balance on uneven terrain such as gravel paths and slopes. It also performs movements like bending and squatting, expanding its range of applications.
With its futuristic "mechanical policeman" appearance, the NAVIAI‑I3 is envisioned for use in security patrols, inspections, and protective services. The center reports that potential clients have already expressed interest, and teams are working overtime to accelerate production.
Looking ahead, the center plans to release another model — the NAVIAI‑WA2 — by the end of this year or early next year. Equipped with wheel‑arms, it will focus on commercial and household services, including cleaning, cooking, and elder care.
