Ningbo welcomes nearly 12.18 million National Day tourist visits

Ningbo welcomed nearly 12.18 million tourist visits during the National Day holiday from Oct 1 to 7, up 10.91 percent year-on-year.
The city's 89 A-level tourist attractions received a combined 3.7 million visits, an increase of 13.06 percent from last year.
Xikou-Tengtou tourist scenic spot ranked first in visitor numbers, attracting 578,000 visits, up 23.9 percent year-on-year, while Fantawild Oriental Heritage led in scenic-area revenue, generating more than 23.93 million yuan ($3.57 million), with its visitor numbers surging 59.9 percent to 189,000.
Following the opening of Metro Line 12, key attractions in Xiangshan county saw a rise in visitors: Ningbo Songlan Mountain Tourist Resort welcomed 255,000 visits, up 62.8 percent, while Shipu Fishing Port Ancient Town recorded 236,000, an increase of 32.5 percent.
The holiday also brought a boost to consumer spending. From Oct 1 to 6, key monitored businesses across Ningbo generated 716 million yuan in sales. Shopping centers accounted for 336 million yuan, up 12.81 percent year-on-year, while catering sales rose 6.24 percent to 28.85 million yuan.
Sales of communication equipment jumped 30.35 percent, driven by new product launches and consumer subsidies, while clothing, footwear, and textiles recorded 13.61 percent growth.
