The 8th China International Import Expo (CIIE) in Shanghai drew over 4,100 companies and showcased 461 new products, technologies, and services. Amid the global buzz, Ningbo enterprises made a strong impression with European collaborations.

At the Central and Eastern European Countries' Products Area, regional treasures abound — Polish hand-painted ceramics, Albanian essential oils, and Serbian coffee offered a sensory journey. Among the 20 debuting brands, Romania's pharmaceutical-grade skincare line Doctor Fiterman stood out. Introduced by Ningbo Hupan Link Brand Management Co Ltd, the brand was discovered during a business delegation to Romania and has now officially launched in China.

Nearby, Ningbo Lantu Trading Co Ltd presented a co-branded Slovakian chocolate inspired by modern art. Already popular among domestic influencers, it's set to reach the general public via livestreams.

In the consumer goods zone, French footwear brand Mephisto debuted with support from Ningbo's veteran trader Huang Yiheng. The brand's health-focused design and 100-million-yuan ($14.04-million) sales in China reflect growing demand for quality living.

Returning for its fifth CIIE, Ningbo's Consinee Group is showcasing luxury cashmere under the theme "oriental beauty". With 22 couture pieces and 64 premium items, the brand blends top-tier materials with Chinese aesthetics, redefining cashmere fashion.

From skincare to textiles, Ningbo companies are leveraging global vision and local strength to write a new chapter of open collaboration.
